Swine flu advice for people with Parkinson's
If you have flu-like symptoms and are concerned that you may have swine flu you should call your GP directly for an assessment of your symptoms and a diagnosis.
Like other people with long term conditions, people living with Parkinson's who develop flu-like symptoms are advised to seek antiviral treatment without delay. This is because antiviral treatment needs to be taken as soon as possible to stop the spread of infection in the body. People with long term conditions may be more at risk from severe symptoms.
